World Golf Hall of Fame, Florida

Today we made the move from Augusta to Sawgrass in Florida, and called in at the World Golf Hall of Fame on the way.

Here at the hall of fame are some marvellous displays of golf history.  This is a replica of the club used to play on the moon in the 1960's.

Ancient clubs from the inceptions of the game are here.  This is a KOLF club, from the dutch version of the game.  Looks a bit a dangerous!

The predecessor to the mighty Taylor Made M1 driver, and adjustable Urquhart.

An evolution of the golf ball.

Geoffrey Knight showing us where he believes that he belongs on the Masters leaderboard.

This is Phil Mickelson's 6 iron that he used to hit "that shot" from behind the tree on the 13th hole at Augusta.

The four major championship trophies.

There is also a huge amount of memorabilia from those who have been inducted into the hall of fame, like this, the scorecard for Annika Sorenstam's magical 59!

All hall of famers have a locker, which houses a bag of theirs, some clubs and other memorabilia items.  This is Karrie Webb's.

This is Greg Norman's.  It must be an early bag, as I cannot remember seeing him use a Wilson bag.  I can only remember the Spalding and Cobra bags.

The greatest ball striker of all of them, True Temper's shaft testing robot, Iron Byron.

Members pictured at the Marriott Hotel, with Matt Kamienski from the PGA Tour Head Office.  Matt will be looking after the World Cup at KHGC in November.

Tomorrow we play the famous Pete Dye creation, the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass.
