TPC Sawgrass - The Stadium Course

TPC Sawgrass - Stadium Course:

Home of The Players Championship, birthplace of the TPC (Tournament Players Club) Network, and backdrop to the PGA Tour headquarters, the TPC Sawgrass golf course is one of the world’s most famous golf courses.

The Stadium Course sports one of the most recognizable and challenging holes on the PGA Tour. The notorious par-3, 17th hole, features an island green that makes or breaks many a PGA Tour pro’s round.

The Stadium Course was designed in 1980 by noted golf course architects Pete and Alice Dye, and is known as one of the most difficult golf courses in the world. Constructed specifically to host The Players Championship, it employs a distinctive "stadium" concept: like in other sports, fans at the TPC sit in "stands" made of raised mounds of grass.

We play the course on the final two days that it is open prior to the hosting of the 2016 Players Championship.

I just hope that we don't contribute too many balls toward the estimated 100,000 balls that are deposited into the lakes each year!
